Transparency matters. Here's an honest look at what OnChainESign does today, what's coming next, and the vision we're building toward.

Shipping and battle-tested
Legally Binding E-Signatures
Full compliance with the ESIGN Act (15 U.S.C. §§ 7001-7006) and UETA across all 50 U.S. states. Every signature captures intent, consent, and attribution.
Solana Blockchain Verification
SHA-256 cryptographic hash of every signed document is permanently minted on Solana mainnet. Immutable, publicly verifiable on Solana Explorer, forever.
Complete Audit Trail
Every signing event records IP address, user agent, timestamp, device info, and signer identity attestation. Downloadable Certificate of Completion with full forensic trail.
Multi-Party Signing
Add unlimited parties per document. Each signer gets a unique, secure signing link. Track who signed, who hasn't, and when — in real time.
Quantum-Safe by Design
SHA-256 hashing classified by NIST as quantum-resistant (FIPS 180-4). Your documents are future-proof against both classical and quantum computing threats.
Global Legal Framework
Consent language references ESIGN Act, UETA, eIDAS 2.0 (EU), UK ECA 2000, and blockchain recognition statutes (AZ Rev. Stat. § 44-7061, VT 12 V.S.A. § 1913).
Coming Next
Actively building — on the near-term roadmap
Identity Verification (IDV)
HIGH PRIORITYThe single biggest upgrade. Government ID scanning + biometric liveness verification so we can prove not just "someone signed this" but "this specific person signed this." This is the key to replacing traditional notaries for high-value documents like real estate deeds and affidavits.
RON-Level Notary Replacement
AFTER IDVOnce IDV is live, we can offer true Remote Online Notarization (RON) equivalence — matching and exceeding what a traditional notary provides. Title companies, law firms, and closing agents will be able to accept OnChainESign documents for recordings and closings.
Video Witness Integration
PLANNEDFor jurisdictions that still legally require a live human witness, we're adding optional video sessions that integrate directly with the signing flow. Record the session, hash the recording, mint it on-chain alongside the document.
The Vision
Where blockchain-native e-signing is headed
Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) + Verifiable Credentials
The ultimate goal: a world where you verify your identity once — through a government-issued digital credential stored in your own crypto wallet — and then sign documents anywhere, forever, with zero-knowledge proof that you are who you claim to be.
No recurring third-party fees. No central database storing your personal data. No middleman at all. Just your wallet, your credential, and the blockchain. Privacy-preserving, open-source-friendly, and perfectly aligned with the decentralized ethos that Solana was built for.
Built on W3C Verifiable Credentials and Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs) standards. Compatible with the EU Digital Identity Wallet mandate (eIDAS 2.0, late 2026). This is the future — and we're building toward it.
A Note on Honesty
We believe in building in public and being transparent about what we can and can't do. Today, OnChainESign provides legally binding e-signatures with blockchain-verified proof that's stronger than any traditional e-sign vendor. That's real, and it's powerful.
What we don't do yet is verify signer identity the way a notary does — checking your driver's license and confirming you're really you. That's the next major milestone, and when it's live, the platform will offer everything a notary provides and more. We'd rather tell you what's coming than pretend it's already here.
